Mom!

Nearly 18 years, and what a journey it's been,
through the laughs and tears, I don't know where to begin.
Off to college soon, but I feel like I got a win,
cause every day you are here, you make me stronger within.
You went from fixing my scars to paying for prom,
got me a brand new car, and you've done nothing wrong.
Now I can tell that, by far, you are the best Mom.
But something is strange,
that some things never change.
You've always been there to help me arrange,
this crazy life I have.
Thank you for always being the hand I could grab.
We yell sometimes and get into some fights,
arguing pointless issues, over wrongs and rights,
But I wouldn't take it back, cause it made us strong,
getting through all that, true love is long.
I'm leaving pretty soon, so I gotta tell you this:
I'm shooting for the moon, and I'm not gonna miss,
me versus college in a paid fight, going toe to toe,
gonna win, cause I was raised right and now it's gonna show.
Unconditional love is affection without limits,
it's a gift from above, and I feel like I'm in it.
If by chance I succeed, just know it's all your doing.
You made me believe that my dreams are worth pursuing.
Tears will be rolling down my cheeks on the day we have to part.
I can't give you the world, but I can give you my heart,
and from the bottom of right here, it's what I gotta do.

媽！

不久我就要第一次離家上大學
回首十八載歡笑與淚珠的歲月
成長的年華何等珍貴
天倫的時光多麼甘美
臨別依依
從何說起
我深感滿身福氣
迎向大學新天地
日夜有您在我身邊
養成我個性更穩健
您送我新車替我療傷
也為我參加舞會幫忙
從沒疏忽地事事呵護盡心
我說您是天下最好的母親
奇妙的是母親的愛恆久不移
不管我的日子如何起落乖離
您隨時幫我調適
伸出手讓我牽住
我曾偶爾詈聲吵嘴
發飆爭執對錯在誰
這些泰半多屬無謂
母子關係更加互惠
原本心無芥蒂
便就不必介意
磨練過的親情更久遠
更經得起時間的考驗
即將遠走高飛之際
在此鄭重向您致意
勤勉慎行朝著標竿直跑
期以成果印證您的教導
無私的愛無止境
母愛是無私親情
上天的恩賜
我有幸得之
您教我追求自己的美夢至於成真
屆期歸功於母親的養育教誨之恩
